My Adventure2... Discriminating 'Johney'

My Adventure 2… “Discriminating Johney”
The way you present your “Colour” and “Race” especially when it comes to an international scene, travel or gatherings matters a lot especially in the society where your colour is a threat which sometimes define your worth and gives you a faint opportunity to address cogent issues.

In one of my recent adventure to a growing African country, where most of my colourful colour mates now resides. I received, perceived and witnessed different attitudinal shocks at different levels. Well, I will share some of these things, consequences, effects and overall lessons you can grab from them.

I got the first shocker during a compulsory routine check in one of the boundaries when this custom officer was sitting. The first command he made was that; If you are from this certain country step forward, fortunately for me that was where I belong, he searched almost my blood, I couldn’t stop laughing at the act, I asked one of my colleague; ‘are we carrying bombs or what?’. To my dismay, the other travelers had to go because they presented their different coloured passport.

Disrimination… it has never helped this particular country, they are backward and confusion sets in wherever you face.
In my next post, I will share some of the effect and lessons that I learnt that you can apply from this particular adventure.
Feel free to make comment and mail me if you can.

#MyAdventure is a collection of my adventures, travels, opinions, fictional thoughts and imaginations.
